salt

you know how Lot's wife looked "back" and was turned into a pillar of salt? I was thinking about that, and why salt? Then I heard Stormie Ormatian say that "looking back paralyzes" and I thought...oh, that is true...in regards to past pain and sin looking back dehydrates and sucks the refreshment right out of you. All that is left is the salt that irritates, burns when it comes in contact with wounds. I guess God doesn't want us to remain "stuck" in our past successes either. He wants to move us on and out of "comfort" in new ways to keep us continually dependant on Him.
