"hermie"

look what came home with these wild flowers?!

theses pics are from September 8, 2010

"God designed this world in such a way that it serves as a constant reminder of his presence, his character, and his glory." Tripp

amazing.
 the "cocoon" of resurrection...

the butterfly practiced opening and closing it's wings.
it fluttered a bit.
i tried to encourage it onto the branch
in order to release it to the great outdoors.
each time it returned to the same
dusty/cobwebbed spot on the windowsill
UNTIL
freedom!
it soared
up
dropped down
and fluttered
 away.
One day!

Romans 8:22-23

22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

  1. It always amazes me to see a caterpillar develop and finally soar away as a butterfly. Every year in first we get to see this as they lay their eggs in a mulberry plant right outside our door. Yes, it is such a picture of death and the resurrection!

  5. Beautiful photos.

Last year we "grew" butterflies and it was so amazing to watch. Such a powerful image of Easter and new life.
