Therapy for the soul

We went on a little family hike this afternoon.
...we have been discussing those verses that speak about God's care for the birds and flowers as it relates to faith, our complete dependence of God's provision...ok, so birds get little worms for their babies, BUT flowers? from what we "figure" they pretty much just look "pretty". Maybe the job for flowers is worship :). To reflect the glory of God. Maybe somewhere in the work of birds and the nothing of flowers there is an example of the balanced life of faith?

also, a little lesson on leadership in life and family. EVERY child in our family wants to be the leader on the hike. A few wrong turns, falls and slips into the water it was agreed that it was safer if all "followed" (Rodney) who took some excellent "route" suggestions from (me). (laugh) Pretty good team work, right? :)
