LOVE this.
We are sort of, well... pretty much ☺...at an in between 9 to 10ish time of life. I have been quite diligently trying to re-learn this sweet girl's "style". No longer are the days that I can shop (for anything) and be certain she will love what I find. So I knew that I found a "winner" when I saw that she had picked up the For Girls Only Devotions and was flipping through it with great enthusiasm. "Mom, on a scale of one to five..." and she began asking me the checkup time "quiz". BIG HIT. Mental note to self *try this instead of direct questions ☺*.
Each cutely flowered "devo" begins with a life story which is followed by the earlier mentioned self quiz ☺. As I go through this book, what I appreciate as a mom is that real life issues are addressed (including topics such as friends...etc) but also beyond to important things such as fear, depression, loss.
A Things to Remember section reinforces the real life issue and makes practical application of the Word. Helpful quotes are included on the side to tie the lesson together.
"I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God,
who is sending a love letter to the world." Mother Teresa
A special thank you to Carolyn Larsen for providing quality materials that help mom's disciple their little and not "so little" girls.

I received a copy of this book for the purpose of review.
This sounds like a wonderful book; thanks for the recommendation! I have two daughters, ages ten and eight, so I know exactly where you're coming from with "can't shop for them anymore!" :)
