It appears that in life
 one can "over"come

or be"come" by over.

I have been pondering Revelation 2:17...

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.

On The Same Wave

If we have one arm or two,

if our arms are weak or strong,

God's arms will be stronger and always

ready to protect us.  Here's what the

 your hand is strong,

Rise Above is a ninety day devotional by Bethany Hamilton.

My suggestion is that you get it for your 10, 11, or 18 year old daughter. Or for yourself.  You will be encouraged by this beautiful, Jesus loving, twenty year old who seems to attack the sharks of life with a slingshot full of faith.

Almighty God, I praise you for all you are.  I praise you for your wonderful creation. I praise you for all you have done for me. Let me gladly praise your name forever and ever. In Jesus name, amen.
