The Shelter of God's Promises by Sheila Walsh

"failures, disappointments, and regrets keep us questioning:
Do God's promises hold fast when everything else is falling apart?"

If your faith is feeling a little worn and "tired" or the waves of life have hit you so hard you are not sure this "sea-sick" feeling is going to pass, (whew, take a breath) read this book.  Sheila Walsh has a gentle, yet courageous strength that will encourage and remind you of promises made by the God who does not change. Also includes an in-depth Bible study at the end (dvd available).  If those are not reasons enough, here are some of mine...
Sheila Walsh is one of the "heroes" in faith that encourages me on in this race of life.
My girls love LOVE her Princess "Gigi" book/dvd series.

I do too :).  In the 80's Sheila Walsh (along with Keith Green) was my introduction to "contemporary" Christian music...the cassette tape version.  Her music sings peace.
Her testimony shouts God's power in a world of trouble that may not get fixed until Heaven.
I guess I'm a no-nonsense sort of girl.  Please don't waste my time with "empty" words.  What I have learned to love about Sheila Walsh is that she is real.  She takes the time to speak of trouble she has faced and of God's grace that is "big" enough to endure in this broken world. Just read her stuff.

  1. Hi, Wonder! It's so nice to "meet" you! Your profile picture sure reminds me of your sister. ;-)

I'm so glad you liked the potato soup recipe, and I think your additions to it sound terrific. I might try that myself the next time I make it. :)

    Have a wonderful day!
