a little take-out (brought in) reminds me of (great) Grandma ♥

 (somebody little called
"daddy" and so sweetly asked, "can we get Chinese food tonight?")...
Chinese it is.
Great Grandma turned 92.
She LOVES Chinese food
and
if we didn't live so many big states away...
that would be her birthday choice.
So we called and ♪sang ♪ . She is a "young" 92 ☺.
(She can't hear).
She recounts blessings to me over the phone...
saying, "I have so much to be thankful for. I can't see very well anymore, (waiting for my uncle to come by and read her birthday cards) but at least I have my hearing! (she's worn aids for years...I listen...she really can't hear me).
She asks all about us
our weather
I think about all about her.
 the Christmas's
we (my siblings and I) woke up extra EARLY
and dumped out our stockings on her bed.
and just like then...
my girls get cards in the (slow) mail now...
full of stickers.
She knows how to love.
and pray.
and I'm thankful right back.
"we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD,
 his power,
and the wonders he has done."
 Psalm 78:4

  1. What a sweet post, Annette! I miss my Gammy. She was like a second mom to me. She passed away last November, but she had Alzheimer's so it was actually a blessing. Now she's praising God! By the way, I LOVE your Christmas card photo in your previous post. So fun.
